The temperature is below freezing and Washington D.C. has declared an official state of emergency. Saying that the odds were against the pro-life movement at the 2016 March for Life would be an understatement. Yet even though there could hardly have been worse conditions for the march,  the pro-life movement proved that nothing would stop them from ending abortion, not even the worst blizzard Washington D.C. has seen since 1922.

While many anticipated that marchers would be deterred by the snow and choose to stay home, hundreds of thousands of people were determined to march no matter the weather. Pro-lifers are used to having the odds stacked against them. When academia, media, politics, and culture aggressively silence and inappropriately demonize the pro-life movement, the pro-life movement has no choice but to be resilient.

In fact, the pro-life movement is not just surviving; it is growing. At the annual March for Life conference, officials were surprised to find out that the many of attendees had never attended the March for Life in years past.

Regardless of the foreboding weather forecast, hundreds of thousands pro-life supporters bravely traveled from  their homes to Washington D.C. to remember and fight for the 58 million children who never had the chance to see snow.
