Pro-choice advocates and feminists will always defend the argument that abortion is about a woman’s right to choose and not about population control. However, this is not true. Abortion is used in many countries to limit the population. In China as well as India, there is a two children policy. Abortion is used as a way to mandate this and it can be forced on a woman by the government. Abortion is also a way to rid the world of those less privileged as was the hope of Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger.
Still don’t believe me? Let’s look at some direct quotes from her. You have probably heard of her and some of her ideas. Today, however, people have a mythological memory of what Margaret Sanger stood for. You will also notice that pro-abortion advocates never really quote her directly. Here is what she believed the size of families should be:
“Women of the working class, especially wage workers, should not have more than two children at most. I can personally say that I am thankful that my parents did not share the same thoughts as her. I am the second child out of five and I cannot image my life without my siblings. Sanger did not just believe in over population, but she also believed in a “cleaner race” and it was her goal to exterminate to rest. Just take a look at what she said:
“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. Shocking isn’t it? I can honestly say that I am pro-life because I do not believe that the world is over populated and I believe that every person has the right to life. It is a good thing that others believe in the same values that I do and together we can take a stand against abortion. So the next time you hear someone praising Margaret Sanger, you will be able to set that person straight and point out her true values and beliefs.
