This past November, hundreds from all over North, Central, and South America made a bold statement of their support for life at the Pro-Life World Congress in Guatemala City, Guatemala. With their joy and energy, they declared “We are the Pro-Life Generation.” This tireless and vibrant group of mostly young people traveled from all over the world to unite under the idea that all life is valuable and worth protecting, from the moment of conception until natural death.
Katharine Britton, the Director of Latin American outreach of 40 Days for Life said the following about the congress, “The Congress was an amazing success. Hundreds of people from the Americas and Europe to celebrate the dignity of life in what they called a “Fiesta por la vida”. The goal was to show that the pro life movement is not just for middle aged women and mothers. This is a movement of passionate young people with creativity, joy, and motivation to change the world. I am so blessed to have been able to be a part of this Congress as a representative of 40 Days for Life!”
Also in attendance, was Axl Beteta, a board member of the Asociación “La Familia Importa,” which is the organization that organized the congress. He excitedly shared the following about his experience, “The Pro Life congress was the greatest celebration for life in November, It strengthened the movement and without a doubt, produced great changes for Latin America and the World.”
